Next Pre-Expansion Rollout

The introduction of our powerful card crafting system, which allows players to focus on creating any card they desire, necessitates some changes to card point acquisition. These changes are mostly aimed at preventing our most hardcore players from crafting too many cards and creating a wide spread of advantage, and our casual users should be mostly unaffected. We are also taking this opportunity to close up some loopholes. Changes are as follows:
- To prevent users from exploiting the system, players can no longer earn points from defeat.
- To prevent users from exploiting the system, players can no longer earn points from matches against a specific player. Points can only be earned from games made in random matchmaking.
- To prevent players from exploiting the system, quest credit can only be earned in games found using random matchmaking.
- Quests now accumulate at a rate of one per day, up to a maximum of three quests. Quest rewards are unchanged.
- As an increase to obtaining card points and to account for the previous changes, diminishing points from fast matches has been removed. You now always earn the standard 10 points.
We understand that some players may need to adjust their card collection strategy in light of these changes. To compensate for this alteration, we will be awarding all players 500 CP and 20 BP over the next several minutes (and just a reminder, we made BP more valuable in this morning's patch too!) You may need to restart your client to see the update to your points.
Ultimately we believe these changes will increase player activity and improve matchmaking, make card collection more fair and create a more even playing field between players. This combined with our upcoming crafting system, allowing players to create specific cards they want, should make for a great card collection system!
P.S. We also wanted to mention from the last post, daily deal prices have been greatly reduced! Both card point and bit point costs have been reduced or will be reduced in the near future. You can now get rare cards from the daily deal for only 5 BP! That's a great way to spend the BP gift that was just awarded.
