Hey everyone, we've added a Performance toggle to the options menu. For our mobile players, setting Performance to 30 FPS may improve battery life while playing the game. We also added an option to synchronize framerate to your screen, which is more for our PC players with high frequency monitors.

Minor Gameplay Update

Thank you all for your feedback during our first week of launch! We have a few small adjustments for gameplay quality and balance ready to go. At this time we do not have any more adjustments planned for the rest of this month, as we'd like to let players explore and let the meta settle more.

Tombstone generation adjustment: This shift is designed to alleviate tombs clogging the board and making movement difficult. While we love the flavor of having tombstones on the battlefield for Undead decks to wield, we don’t intend for them to be a strong defensive tool or an overt nuisance.
- The Reaper: Now creates a tombstone for every friendly unit slain costing 2 or more. Previously, was any unit, played from hand only, costing 3 or more.
- At the end of each turn, if there are more than 5 tombstones in play, one is destroyed.
- Many effects which grant the user random cards have been constrained to only allow cards of the same factions as the player’s deck.
- Corpse Explosion: Cost increased to 6 (was 5). This card is extremely powerful.
- Flame Prince: Stats reduced to 5/3 (was 5/4). This is a minor correction, the unit’s stats are mistakenly not aligned to its overall value and cost.

Hello everyone, just a brief update about what we have cookin'!

- There will be a MAJOR CARD RELEASE on Dec 1st, with over 35 new cards alongside balance and gameplay updates. We're very excited about this patch as it really fleshes out some of our key concepts like Sea Monsters, and introduces some cool new characters!
- Our first small single player campaign is in development, with an undetermined release date.
- Lots more cards are in the works! After the December 1st patch, the team is going to rest for the winter holidays and get back with more news sometime in January.

Curse of Death Hotfix

by Vontre
We keep getting a lot of bug reports about this card, as its secretive nature makes it very hard for its victims to tell what has happened. We may have overlooked the seriousness of this issue as it may convince players that our game is buggy and unreliable (which it is not). Unfortunately we don't have time to create a custom animation for the effect, so we've elected to redesign the card into a Trap, which should overall be a more positive change anyway (traps are cool and have specific synergies).

New Curse of Death (costs 2): Trap: When your opponent plays a unit, give it -3/-3.

This and other recently changed or nerfed cards can be refunded for full shards if desired, except for shiny versions. We apologize for not getting this card into the original balance patch before, thank you for your understanding!

Required Client Update

We are deploying a balance and bug fixing patch later today. This patch requires an updated client to work, so all players should update their game client to the latest version (1132) as soon as possible.

Balance Hotfix

Thirst for Battle: Now costs 8, but only summons 10 gold of units (was 9 and 15).
- Dev Note: We really missed the mark on tuning this card, it was not intended to be as powerful as it became. This adjustment should bring it more in line and make it more of a combo payoff than a straight value add.
Reckless Firemancer: Backlash damage increased to 3 (was 2).
Altar of Fire: Backlash damage increased to 3 (was 2).
- We've received a lot of feedback that the self damage from these cards was not meaningful enough to matter. This bump in self damage should make the cards much riskier to use.

Preparation: Cost reduction improved to (2) less (was 1 less).
Stone Wall: Cost reduced to 1 (was 2).
Eternity Strike: Cost reduced to 3 (was 4).
Wisp: Cost reduced to 2 (was 3).
Murderfish: HP increased to 3 (was 1).

Several bugs have also been fixed with this patch.
